Philosophy

Our philosophy of education rests on the following three fundamental principles:

  • Parents are to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. The primary responsibility for the education of children rests not with the school but with the parents. It is Biblically acceptable for parents to enlist the aid of others to assist in the education of their children and especially to secure the aid of Christians gifted with teaching ability.
  • Knowledge is impossible without God, the Creator of heaven and earth. God, who created all things, cannot be legitimately separated from history, literature, mathematics, science, or any other academic discipline. Therefore, the whole range and content of education is to be God-centered.
  • Man was created in the image of God and is to glorify Him; therefore, Christian education must develop man’s ability to explore, investigate, and discover truths about the universe in order to exercise dominion over it.
