As a school of choice, CCS charges what it costs to offer a top-quality educational program; however, we are resolved that no qualified family should be turned away for financial reasons. It is expected that families will pursue every other means for financial assistance (family, other scholarship funds, etc.) prior to applying for aid directly from Calvary Classical School. We anticipate this from each family so that tuition assistance may be available to those without alternative means of funding. We encourage our families to explore our tuition assistance program, so their children will not miss out on an exceptional education.
CCS uses a financial assessment company, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, to assess a family’s tuition need. This service provides third-party objectivity and confidentiality in reviewing the family’s financial information. FACTS makes a recommendation to the school. The school board makes all tuition assistance decisions. Applications are online at factstuitionaid.com. The cost is $25 to apply.
The tuition assistance committee begins reviewing assistance recommendations at the end of March for the next academic year. Assistance decisions are based on the following criteria:
1. Applicant’s commitment to CCS, including volunteerism and school involvement, and classical Christian education.
2. Applicant's demonstrated financial need as evaluated by the outside agency.
3. Availability of funds
Registration fees along with completed applications are required before a tuition assistance decision is made. Applicants will be notified within 30 days of the board’s review. It is advisable to submit online applications as soon as possible. Please call the school office at 757-262-0062 if you have questions.
